Case study
Board Minutes Generator: From Meeting Video to a Reviewable Draft
District workflow · Internal
Preparing board minutes means bringing together several pieces of a meeting: the video, the agenda, and what people said. I built Board Minutes Generator to help with that work by giving staff a structured draft they can review.
What I built
The application combines meeting video and agenda information with speaker-aware transcription, then uses AI to draft the minutes. It is an internal district workflow, so the purpose is to support the people doing this work in our district.
How the workflow fits together
- Meeting video and agenda information provide the source material and meeting context.
- Speaker-aware transcription captures the spoken discussion with speaker context.
- AI-generated drafts turn that material into structured draft minutes.
- Staff review checks whether the draft accurately represents the meeting.
Why the draft matters
What interests me about this kind of application is the opportunity to bring information together in a form someone can work with. The AI-generated document gives staff a starting point. They still need to review it and decide what belongs in the record.
Current status
Board Minutes Generator is an internal district tool. I’m sharing how the workflow fits together here; the application itself is not available as a public product.
